Release: 03/12/2007

Mount St. Mary's freshman guard Jeremy Goode (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day) has been named to collegeinsider.com's Freshman Mid-Major All-America team. The team consists of 16 players as selected by the collegeinsider.com staff with input from Division I coaches and NBA scouts.

Goode, a member of the Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team, averaged 10.1 points, 5.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game this season as the Mount's starting point guard. The 5-9 Charlotte, N.C., native set the Mount's freshman record for assists with 155 while his 56 steals were the second-most by a Mount freshman in school history.

Goode scored in double figures 18 times during the season, topped by a 20-point effort in the Mount's 71-63 home loss to NEC champion Central Connecticut State on Jan. 13. He nearly recorded the first triple-double in school history with a 19-point, 10-rebound, nine-assist effort in the Mount's win over Fairleigh Dickinson.

Goode helped lead the Mount to its first NEC Tournament win in seven season with 13 points and five assists in a 78-61 win over Robert Morris. The Mount finished the season 11-20 overall and 9-9 in the NEC.
